Pasak Bumi or Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma Longifolia) is a efficacious plant that can be found in the forests of Malaysia and western Indonesia. The root of Pasak Bumi is famously efficacious as an aphrodisiac, approaching as a herbal medicine for male virility.
Plants can reach heights of up to 10 meters in the lush lowland forest. Usually, the leaf is lush at the end of the stem. Most of these trees do not branch, if it branches too little that is one or two branches only. The flowers are densely arranged on a branched stalk, which comes out from the base of the leaf.
A bit of history:
Throughout Southeast Asia, Tongkat Ali has been used for centuries and is considered a national treasure in Malaysia. In Vietnam, it is known as the “tree that cures hundreds of diseases” and has been used to treat jaundice, malaria, dysentery, and other diseases. In the midst of Malaysia’s dense forests, the plant was again used as a mouthwash for gingivitis and as an effective aphrodisiac. Thus, Tongkat Ali has a long history of use, so it is only a matter of time before it is known to the public.
Tongkat Ali as an effective aphrodisiac
The most well-known effect is the aphrodisiac effect, which affects both women and men. In men, the hormone testosterone increases, which is one of the most important sex hormones. Testosterone plays a key role in the development of male genital maturity, increasing inner strength, endurance, energy, and mental well-being. Therefore, Tongkat Ali increases sexual desire, endurance and is used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction. In women, this increases libido and sensitivity in the pelvic area. In women going through menopause, mood swings become stable.
